Mentor Match Night combines FLI Students already researching their project interest with FLI's Network for Change Mentors and community leaders to engage in a structured, one-on-one feedback session in which students receive advice, guidance and information on their area of interest from actual professionals and change-makers.
Students and Mentors are matched according to their interests and expertise and have multiple sessions thoughout the evening.
At this event, students:
- Recieve one-on-one feedback and coaching
- Identify community leaders that can help support their FLI Project
- Practice professional communication and interaction
- Make meaningful connections with important members of the community
Students leave Mentor Match Night having met with multiple potential mentors and with a structured and clear idea of their next step in order to have a successful project. This is a mandatory FLI event and all students are expected to attend.
