Program Overview

The Future Leaders Institute is a rigorous, year-long program run for students passionate about creating lasting social change in the world. Students work to create individual projects which they design based on their own interests and ideas, creating visionary solutions for the world’s most pressing needs. For 10 months, students brainstorm their passions, research community organizations and social change-makers and work one-on-one with professional mentors to bring to life their vision for a sustainable, just world. With the help of their FLI Guide, a highly trained educator and expert in the FLI Program, students receive coaching, public speaking training, help with setting independent goals and structures and learn how to follow-through with confidence and charisma in order to help make their community and the world a better place. FLI honors and celebrates it's best students at it's annual Legacy Awards every June in several distinct categories including Collaboration, Community Impact, Legacy, Dream Team, Resilience, Innovation, Philanthropy, School Conribution and Environmental Stewardship.
